PLC-controlled system

Our systems are controlled by a Programmable Logic Controller (PLC). This is an industrial computer specifically designed for reliable control in harsh environments, such as railway yards. The logic is programmed to autonomously respond to sensor data.

Proactive ice formation prevention

The system predicts and prevents freezing, rather than only reacting once ice has formed. Through continuous monitoring of temperature and humidity at the railheads, the heating is activated before critical conditions arise, which is crucial for the operational continuity of ProRail.

Scope of application

RJ Kross focuses exclusively on professional railway infrastructure. Our solutions are designed for switches and crossings in mainline and regional railway networks. We do not supply systems for model railways, hobby projects, or private applications.

Maintenance and monitoring

The systems are equipped with remotely readable diagnostics. Maintenance is always performed by certified personnel in cooperation with the infrastructure manager. All designs comply with relevant Dutch and European safety and railway standards.
